Indian Visitors May 2011 Video

Moor Hall Primary is proud to be tied with schools around the world - this year for example, class 4 have been writing to their penpals at Saupins School in India.

Back in May, we had the privilege of having three visitors from India arrive at our school. We welcomed Ms. Meenakshi Ahlawat (Sacred Souls' School), Ms. Jaspal Gill (Bawa-Lalvani Public School), and Ms. Lalita Nandel (DAV Model School) into our school and held an assembly for them.

Our special guests told the children about life at their schools in India, and then our pupils played musical instruments and sang for them.

Watch the video below to see some highlights of the day!

Feel free to leave a comment below telling us what you thought of the day!

Bronze Wildlife Action Award

Several children from Bird Club have been awarded the Bronze Wildlife Action Award, recognising them for "carrying out special tasks to improve the environment for birds, wildlife and people".

In the picture above we can see Martin Fisher from the RSPB, alongside all the children who won the award, in an assembly where they were presented their certificates.

A big congratulations to these children for achieving this award. Everyone at school is extremely proud of you - especially Mrs Glare!

Bird Club Walk

In the week before the half term holiday, Bird Club went for a walk around the newly opened R.S.P.B. Middleton Bird Reserve.

We have added a new item to the events page of the website - take a look to see some photos of the children, the birds they saw, and the certificate of appreciation they received afterwards.
