Cross Country

Good Morning,

Luckily we have had a clear night and the school field has dried up substantially, so Cross country practise will be going ahead this morning.
Please could I ask all children and parents to walk around the school to the field and not cut across the car park as staff are arriving at that time in the morning, and we don't want any accidents!
See you all at 8.20

Latest Poll Results: Summer Holidays

The question asked: What are you most looking forward to about the summer holidays?

The results were interesting - unsurprisingly going away on holiday was the favourite activity, with spending family time at home following in close second.

On the other hand, 10% of the vote was actually for doing chores and housework!

Click the pie-chart to see an enlarged version of the results, and feel free to leave a comment on why you voted the way you did.

In the meantime, why not have a go at our new poll -based around our new school houses!

LEGO Club

LEGO Club began again last week. Both KS1 & KS2 are involved. KS2 have planned a programme covering the next few weeks. The first week we thought about 'Inventions'.
This evening KS1 LEGO Club concentrated on making a small town community. Each of the 5 groups thought about a different aspect of what makes a small community. One group built a house, another built vehicles. Other groups considered a castle and shops. Finally, the last group decided that it was a seaside town and so made a harbour.

Brilliant ideas.
How will KS2 get on tomorrow when they think about Flags. Watch this space....

Inspire a generation

After a fantastic summer of watching the Olympics and now with the Paralympics on, I was wondering whether it has inspired you to take up any new sports? It has certainly got me moving more!

I would really like to collect pictures of pupils with awards you have won, sports you do in and out of school, as part of a school display board to show people how much we enjoy sports at Moor Hall School. They can be football pictures, pictures of medals or trophies you have won, any sports you do-take a picture and bring it into school.

So get taking pictures of just how active you are! Sports Coaching

Welcome back to school!

I hope everyone has had a wonderful six weeks off, I know I have! I hope you're all rested and ready to work hard.
I would like to say a big hello and welcome to our new teachers Miss Lilly and Mrs Davey.
